MARKET UPDATE  

The lateral recruiting market remains challenging but improving, slowly. There is a sense of optimism and over the past week there has been an increase in the number of new openings.

Santander continues to hire from banks like Perella, Credit Suisse, William Blair and Moelis. Recent hires will fill out gaps in technology, specialty finance and insurance.

Leerink Partners has hired Tim Hotchandani for healthcare deal making. Mr Hotchandani covers life sciences tools and diagnostics.

Wells Fargo has hired veteran leveraged finance banker Alexander Barth from Deutsche Bank.

BASE SALARY UPDATES

Analyst base salary ranges-

Analyst 100-150K

Associate 175-250K

Vice President 225-300K

Director 300-375K

Managing Director 300-500K
